HARLEM SERVES UP
CHALLENGE
Harlem EatUp! festival, co-founded by Herb Karlitz and celebrity chef, author and TV personality, Marcus Samuelsson of Red Rooster Harlem, shines a spotlight on Harlem, its culinary scene, arts, and culture. After learning a live festival was not in the cards for 2020, we created a new, virtual concept to support Harlem.

IDEA
Harlem EatUp! shifted quickly and repurposed its efforts to create Harlem Serves Up!, a televised and online fundraiser to promote businesses in Harlem, and to raise money for non-profits that serve Harlem, its residents in need, its businesses and the city of New York.
RESULTS
Harlem Serves Up! broadcasted on WABC-7 was the most-watched show in the NY-NJ-CT tri state area (over 250,000 viewers) and successfully raised over $350,000. The special showcased nationally recognized celebrities and local Harlem talent and business owners.
